Dr. Michael K. Wong

Dr. Michael K. Wong is a member of CURE’s advisory board, is the physician in chief at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York.

Dr. Emre Yekedüz

Dr. Emre Yekedüz is a medical oncologist and research fellow in medicine at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Robin Zimmerman

Robin Zimmerman is a retired baker living in the Willamette Valley. In 2008, his wife lost her life at the age of 48 after a four-year struggle with melanoma, leaving behind an adult son and preteen daughter. Five years later, he had an early-stage melanoma diagnosed and removed. He now divides his time working part-time at a hospital and as a skin cancer advocate volunteering with multiple organizations.

Suzanne Adriana Remington

Suzanne Adriana Remington, a retired behavior analyst from Connecticut, has been fighting non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) since 2019. Like many NSCLC fighters, she never smoked. In fact, she was an avid runner before her diagnosis. Suzanne has spent most of her working life helping children, and now volunteers with children involved in the court system. She also belongs to ALK-Positive Inc, a group named for the gene that drives their particular cancer. They not only support each other, but raise money to fund their own research. This allows cancer fighters and cancer researchers to truly work together to find a cure.

Valarie Traynham

Valarie Traynham is a cancer thriver and serves as a patient advocate following her diagnoses of multiple myeloma and breast cancer.

Alex Biese

A nationally-published, award-winning journalist, Alex Biese joined the CURE team as an assistant managing editor in April 2023. Prior to that, Alex's work was published in outlets including the Chicago Sun-Times, MTV.com, USA TODAY and the Press of Atlantic City. Alex is a member of NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists, and also performs at the Jersey Shore with the acoustic jam band Somewhat Relative.

Dr. Nausheen Ahmed

Ahmed is a board-certified hematologist and associate professor, Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics, at The University of Kansas, KU Medical Center.

Miranda Lankas

Miranda Lankas, Assistant Editor for CURE®, started at MJH Life sciences in August 2022. She completed an undergraduate and Master of Arts degree in literature at Temple University.
