Sunday, Feb. 4 is World Cancer Day, and we want to hear from fellow patients, survivors, caregivers and advocates about how cancer has impacted their lives.
Join our #CureConnect tweet chat on Monday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m., EST, to discuss World Cancer Day. This year’s theme is, “We can. I can,” so we’ll be talking about how individuals and groups alike can raise awareness and further education about the disease. We’ll also discuss how patients, survivors and caregivers can be their own advocate — whether it be with health care teams, insurance companies or on Capitol Hill.
In February 2000, the Paris Charter adopted the World Summit Against Cancer for the New Millennium in Paris, with the goal of promoting research behind a cure and prevention, as well as offering services to patients. And so, World Cancer Day, which is coordinated by the Switzerland-based Union for International Cancer Control, was born.
We’d love to hear from you!
