LiveLung invites the Wilmington community to its monthly educational meeting.
LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the Wilmington community to its monthly educational meeting on Thursday, November 6th, at 12:30 p.m. The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place at Hampton Inn Wilmington- Medical Park, 2320 S 17th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
This month’s featured speaker is Heidi Drueppel, RN, Lung Navigator at Novant Health. Drueppel will present “Navigating Care Between the Oncologist and Primary Provider,” offering insights to help patients and care partners better understand and coordinate communication across their healthcare teams.
As a Lung Navigator at Novant Health Cancer Center, Drueppel guides lung cancer patients and their care partners through every step of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. With a strong background in oncology nursing and a passion for patient-centered care, she helps bridge the gap between oncology specialists and primary care providers—ensuring patients receive seamless, informed, and compassionate support throughout their journey.

LiveLung is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to improve health outcomes by advancing lung cancer education, early detection, and compassion for lung cancer patients. We do this by hosting a network of monthly educational community lung cancer patient groups. We also provide resource bags to dozens of cancer centers, where nurse navigators give them to newly diagnosed lung cancer patients.
