Greg Cantwell was 30 years old when he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a primary brain tumor. Even though Greg had the support from his family and friends, he didn't know anyone that could relate to his fight or who had conquered the same type of cancer. Since founding his non-profit, Greg's Mission, in 2012, he has helped over 1,700 patients, families and caregivers to navigate the brain tumor journey.

Greg Cantwell, a survivor of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and the founder of Greg's Mission, discusses the need to support and educate patients with GBM.

Cantwell has dedicated his life to making sure that no person diagnosed with a brain tumor has to go through the experience alone and that no family member or caregiver should go without support. Greg’s Mission, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has provided guidance and support to more than 1,700 patients, families and caregivers.

Cantwell was named one of our 2015 GBM Heroes.
