Diana M. Martin has been an adjunct professor in The Writing and Reading Center at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD, for over 20 years. She has a MFA in Creative Nonfiction and has published articles in the areas of parenting, health and cultural arts. When her husband lost his battle with cancer of unknown primary, later identified as bile duct cancer, she became the sole caregiver for their adult son, Alex, who is autistic.

Ronny Allan is an award-winning international patient advocate for those with neuroendocrine cancer and he is a long-term survivor of the disease. He frequently writes about the many aspects of living with a long-term and incurable cancer including diagnostics, treatment, education, support and campaigning for more attention for unmet patient needs. Rick Boulay, M.D.

Rick Boulay, M.D., is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist. When cancer faced his family and his medical training left him ill-prepared to manage the day-to-day needs of cancer treatment and survivorship, he found wisdom, support and love in the patients he treated. As a result, Dr. Boulay, who is also a singer, now writes and performs on topics at the intersection of cancer and society.

Trevor Maxwell

Trevor Maxwell is a writer, speaker, PR consultant, and former newspaper reporter. He lives in Maine with his wife and two daughters. In March of 2018, he was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and is currently on immunotherapy. Trevor recently founded Man Up to Cancer, a mission-driven company and online community designed to empower men -- and those who love them -- to avoid isolation throughout their cancer journeys.

Kathy LaTour

Kathy LaTour is a breast cancer survivor, author of The Breast Cancer Companion and co-founder of CURE magazine. While cancer did not take her life, she has given it willingly to educate, empower and enlighten the newly diagnosed and those who care for them.
