In this episode of “CURE Talks Cancer,” we spoke with a patient, an advocate and a doctor to learn more about bladder cancer and what others should know about the disease.

This year alone, there will be an estimated 80,000-plus new cases of bladder cancer and more than 17,000 deaths from the disease, according to the American Cancer Society; however, it is with recognition of symptoms and early diagnoses that can help such rates drop.

In this week’s podcast, sponsored by Astrazeneca, we spoke with a patient named Bob; an advocate from the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, Stephanie Chisolm; and Dr. Alexandra Drakaki from UCLA Health, about the basics of the disease, how to deal with a diagnosis and the treatment options available to date.
