My husband passed away during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was so connected to our nurse, Megha Shah, B.S.N., RN, OCN, that he wanted to FaceTime and see her once more. His last words to her were, “I love you, Megha.” This just shows how much love, compassion and expertise she gave our family including me as a caregiver.
Our friends and family are forever grateful for her excellent care. My husband always went to chemo with an inspirational shirt to support his fight. We set up a memorial in support of their bond: scottsgift.company.site. Money raised from this site will benefit the Delnor Cancer Center in Geneva, Illinois. He wanted to show his gratitude to Megha for her great care.
Megha definitely deserves this award for her care of my husband, myself and our entire support group.
