Patricia Chin, a registered nurse, forms meaningful bonds with patients, providing expert care, emotional support and kindness through cancer treatment.
My oncology nurse, Patricia Chin, RN, is truly amazing! She not only is a dedicated nurse at Dana-Farber Cancer Center, but she also ran the Boston Marathon for Dana Farber!
She truly cares about my life and not just the cancer parts. She talks to me about my job as a teacher. We talk about our children. We laugh about our hair colors. She always has fun colors and inspired me to put teal in my hair for cervical cancer when I got some hair back after chemo. She is always willing to keep me company when I am having my infusions.
Tish is an exceptional nurse that has become a friend and always advocates for me. If I need something, she makes it happen. She checks on me on her days off when I don’t get to see her. She celebrates my wins and reassures me when I am anxious. I wish I could nominate her every nurse at Dana-Farber Cancer Center, but I truly hit the jackpot when I got Tish as my nurse. She tells me stories about her kids at school since she knows I’m a teacher. I love that she truly knows me, and I know I’m not just my last name and birthday.
I brought my little cousin one week who is in nursing school, and Tish was explaining as she did things so my cousin could see what an oncology nurse does. I love her patience and kindness.
Trish absolutely deserves to win. Anyone who gets her as their nurse will always smile even when going through the hardest moments.
