PLAINSBORO, N.J. — (April 25, 2016) – CURE Media Group, the nation’s leading digital and print media enterprise focused on patients with cancer, has launched a new platform, Share Your Story, on www.curetoday.com that provides a forum for patient advocacy groups and patients with cancer across all tumor types to share their personal cancer journey in an effort to connect with, and help, others.

Launched with more than 100 stories from patient advocacy groups, the content focuses on advocacy group work and personal patient stories on how to overcome the cancer diagnosis, challenges faced, treatment options and side effects, advice for people starting their own cancer journey or in the midst of one, questions to ask, topics and issues to address, caregiving, survivorship, and much more.

“As we continue our overall mission of combining science and humanity to make cancer more understandable, we wanted to provide an outlet that gives our readers and patients a voice,” said Silas Inman, editorial director of curetoday.com. “We’ve initially partnered with advocacy groups on a series of articles to promote the decades of great work they’ve been doing to give patients a voice through support groups, outreach programs and awareness. We now invite worldwide patients with cancer to share their amazing stories, advice, experiences and personal cancer journeys.”

Cherry Wunderlich, board member and director of publications for ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc., one of the first organizations featured on Share Your Story, added, “Share Your Story is an outstanding platform for cancer patients to communicate information while connecting with like-minded and like-experienced individuals and organizations for insights, suggestions, and ideas. We know that these types of connections are helpful to individuals going through any type of cancer journey, and it’s why I encourage patients to jump in and share their stories.”
