It is my pleasure to nominate Emily Becker, B.S.N., RN, OCN, as an extraordinary oncology nurse. I had chemotherapy every week from October 2019 to January 2020, then every three weeks from January 2020 to October 2020. I can say without hesitation that Emily showed me the greatest compassion and professionalism. She tended to my every need and periodically checked on me to see if I needed anything. If I had questions about my treatment, she was able to answer them in a manner that brought comfort to me. I hope your committee will present her with this award as she definitely deserves it. There should be more nurses like her, especially in the field of oncology.
