Nancy Foreman, BSN, RN, OCN, was nominated for the Extraordinary Healer award.

Nancy Foreman, BSN, RN, OCN, is our wonderful nurse navigator. Nancy has been a nurse for 48 years and an oncology nurse for around 25 years. She works endless hours making sure all patients are taken care of in a timely manner. She gives patients her cell number to better assist them through their journey. She follows each patient from start to finish, from scheduling their diagnostic testing to ensuring their chemotherapy medications are approved/ready. Nancy also completes our genetic testing and assists the infusion RNs when needed.

Nancy coordinates patient care through other facilities, ensuring our patients are getting their scans and appointments promptly. Nancy truly goes above and beyond for her team and the patients.

Being a breast cancer survivor herself, Nancy knows how to connect with the patients. She understands what they are going through, and she knows what types of testing or medications are needed for their diagnosis. Nancy also assists with our breast cancer clinic that we do each week with our oncologist, Dr. Mathern, surgeons Dr. Preston and Dr. Collins and radiation oncologist Dr. Rice.

Nancy attends in-services and conferences each year to better enhance her knowledge in oncology and the newer therapies. Nancy never gets flustered in her job and always has a smile on her face. She truly cares for each patient, and her compassion shines bright in her work every day.

Prior to coming to our office full time, Nancy worked for our local hospital and would follow each patient from discharge to their consult with their oncologist.
