&quot;Window to the Heavens&quot; is a painting of the interior of the cathedral at Melk Abbey in Austria. This magnificent structure is still a functioning abbey and the interior floors and walls are made with various colors and types of marble. The acoustics inside are absolutely amazing. Melk Abbey survived WW II intact and remains one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe! This painting is one of several that I painted from different views of the interior.

I went through treatment for Anal Cancer and I am in remission 6 months now. I attended an art class at my nearby Wellness Centre and created this abstract art with the use of a &acirc;&euro;&oelig;cell&acirc;&euro;

Cancer Cells in Battle

Six years ago I was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. During my first remission I picked up a paint brush for the very first time and found something that I love doing and that allows me to not &quot;think&quot; about cancer while I paint and paint. I am a Stage 4 lifer and feel grateful to feel good and enjoy life. I have too many faces to paint! Breaking Free is all about finding yourself after a struggle, like cancer or anything that leaves you lost and feeling small, and coming out of it stronger and knowing more about yourself. Is she hiding her deepest, darkest feelings behind the shades...or is it that her future is so bright?
