Living with lymphoma was a life changing event. Having to retire early and quit working left me with needing something to do. The arts and getting in touch with my creativity helped me face my changed reality.

Don&#39;t wait for the things to get better. Life will always be complicated. Learn to be happy right now, otherwise you&#39;ll run out of time. We find ourselves weighed down with things that keep us from living in freedom, such as staying busy, entertaining ourselves with distractions, anger, bitterness, jealousy and comparison. Sometimes even illness can control our lives, leaving us empty and lonely, confused and surrounded by darkness. Thankfully, God&#39;s love is so full of freedom and light. What if we threw off everything that hindered and the sin that so easily entangles, and run with perseverance the race marked out for us?

Holding onto Light

There&#39;s myriad feelings that come with a cancer diagnosis. Creating beautiful things alongside others feels supportive and comforting.
