I created this sketch when I was going through breast cancer. Sketching was my outlet. This piece ended up being my &acirc;&euro;&oelig;fight sketch&acirc;&euro;

To release my emotions about recovering from triple-negative breast cancer treatment with lots of chemo, my husband photographed me so I could paint this self-portrait. The message is that he still sees me as a whole person.

SILVER LINING

While undergoing chemo for breast cancer, I turned to painting glass as a way to relax and take my mind off of treatments. I had stopped glass painting previously due to burnout, but found it enjoyable and addictive during cancer treatments. Starting with wine glasses, my first designs were loose and playful. They grew more detailed as time passed, leading to the creation of this cake dome for my sister&acirc;&euro;&trade;s birthday.
