National Pancreas Foundation

The National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) is the only foundation dedicated to patients who are suffering from all forms of pancreas disease – pediatric pancreatitis, acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. A National Patient Registry is being developed for individuals suffering the isolating and debilitating conditions associated with pancreatic disease.

The NPF has 24 state chapters and provides physician education including a fellows program and CME activities, patient educational resources and funds research grants. To fulfill its mission, the NPF raises and manages a charitable foundation from which grants are made directly to researchers seeking to resolve the challenging medical problems of pancreatic diseases.

The NPF designates and works with NPF Centers of Excellence including 52 NPF Pancreatitis Centers such as Yale Center for Pancreatic Disease, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Saint Louis University/SLU Care Center for Pancreatic and Biliary Diseases; and 31 NPF Pancreatic Cancer Centers including Georgetown University – Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Hackensack University Medical Center/ John Theurer Cancer Center, The Pancreas Center at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
